Maring Auction Co. had a very nice farm retirement auction today (March 20, 2015) in southeast Minnesota that featured a number of lower hour Case IH tractors in very good condition. How did they sell? High? Low? About average? Below are pics of the tractors sold today, the sale prices each one went for, and some comparable data from our web site:
2010 Case IH 385 Steiger 4WD with 838 hours, 1 owner (pictured above), sold: $147,500
Pete's Point: "A little light on the sale price here, but not surprising given how "soft" prices have been running on later model 4WD tractors...dealers have a LOT of them sitting on their used lots all over. See how the 2011 model with 968 hours sold for $177,000 on the 7/31/14 auction in east-central North Daktota...that was a consignment auction too vs. today's farm auction in southeast Minnesota"
* Condition ratings: E=Excellent, G=Good, F=Fair; Location sold: ECIL = east-central Illinois, etc.
2005 Case IH MX285 with 2,215 hours, sold: $100,000
